Two Truths and One Lie

Mr. John Scalzi suggested a Weekend Assignment that sounds like fun. I'm going to play along. I invite you to join in.

Two truths and one lie about me:

1. According to my otolaryngologist, I have super hearing. I hear things at least 10% to 15% better than you do. Deal.

2. Speaking of super powers, I am now a believer in some sort of psychic prescience. Since attaining motherhood, I now have the ability to predict (but not prevent, sadly) when the kids will get up to no good.

3. Had the twins been boys instead of girls, one of them would surely have been named Alton for my favorite TV chef, Alton Brown.

Can you sort fact from fiction?

Oh my... I am thinking that you would not have named one of the twins Alton. Alton Wright is OK, I guess, but the poor kid would get beat up in middle school.

The hearing! You have OI. The three bones in your middle ear are going to give you trouble. It is the pits the ones in the family that have musical ability have hearing problems.

Do I get to play? I pick number 3.

I know you're an atheist, but I still think #2 is true.
You and I both love Alton, but we'd never hang that name on a kid.

I think number three is the lie, just like the other commenters! I hope you will reveal the answer!

I guess I have to go with 3, too. While I don't doubt that you would have loved Alton, perhaps Airan wouldn't have been game?

I vote for number two. Although, if you had given birth to twin boys, they probably would have been named Alton and his brother Alton. By the way, doesn't this contest sound a bit gastronomical (1, 2, or 3)?

I happen to know that #3 is true, so I'm voting for #1 as the lie. I'm tempted by #2, though, because I know you're feelings about the unexplainable.
