It Won't Get Any Better Than This

This is how Sophia, Evelyn, and I spent this afternoon, probably the last nice afternoon of the year.

First, a windy stroll at the beach.

The scenery:

I'd like to pretend this is a sweet picture of the girls holding hands, but I know Sophia was fast asleep and had no idea where her hand had randomly landed.

Next, a visit to Chipotle, my favorite lunch spot.

Even though the staff there loves to admire the Sophie and Evie, the girls were unmoved. Sophie didn't even bother to wake up.

Homeward bound:

Tomorrow promises to be cold and blustery. I fear winter will have us in its grip before long.

So adorable! I can't believe they are so good to keep their toys with them--what's your secret, glue? (Or, selective photography)

Is all of that within walking distance? If it is...lucky (said in my best Napoleon Dynamite)

How adorable are they?! Would you be interested in a slightly devilish young man courting them in the future?

And thanks for the glimpse into the day. What a wonderful time! We're like you, though, getting blustery cold. As we literally blew inside from trick-or-treating tonight, I told my husband in no uncertain terms how much I hated winter. He of course had the audacity to tell me winter isn't even officially here yet. Sigh...

Thanks for putting the puppy with Sophie and the baby with Evie. Now I can ace any "guess who" pictures. I was pretty good at telling them apart for awhile. It's been a year since I've seen them. I'm getting rusty. How does next June or July sound? By then I should REALLY need a refresher course.

I can remeber those last few warmish days in Chicago. Looks like you made the most of it. Too cute for words. Mine are all huge now :(

We're trying to enjoy the last warm days here too. Although we won't be near as cold as you will up north. Our cold snap seemed to come early, and now it's back into the 70s!

We are so fortunate that both the beach AND Chipotle, two of my favorite places, are within easy walking distance. That's one of the great things about where we live. The not-so-great things: no yard for the dog, no parking space. Ug. We need to move.
