Crime-fighting Chicago alderman foils robbery
I confess, I haven't been Joe Moore's biggest fan (see here), but this is pretty cool. My favorite quote from the story:
"I saw a guy running down the street carrying a purse," Moore said. "I knew it wasn't his because it didn't match his shoes."

The scary part about this story is that it took place about two blocks from where I live, in front of a restaurant that we often visit with the kids. Yikes.
I also like how Moore described the purse-snatcher as a "man in his 20s who can run very, very fast."
I guess it's time for you to get one of those wallet deals that you wrap around your torso under your shirt. (snicker) Wouldn't it be great to walk into that restaurant and reach down your shirt for your cash? When the cashier looks at you sideways you can say, "What? Didn't you hear about the mugging?"
Glad you're safe and that your alderman notices whether shoes and the corresponding purse match. ;-)
Did the alderman's shoes match his purse?
Seriously, maybe you guys should get a taser. Are they leagle in Chicago?
I'm not sure if a taser would actually be useful in this situation. Where would you keep it? In your purse?
