WWdN:iX

I think it's well established that I'm a big ol' geek. I love science, techno gadgets, Star Trek, and online gaming. For those of you who are wondering why I haven't been blogging much lately, here is the reason. (Well, there are a few reasons. Kids, freelance work, and napping have contributed to the scarcity of posts.) Much of my blogging time has been spent surfing my new favorite blog, wilwheaton.typepad.com. Fellow geeks, head on over and check it out. Non-geeks (that means everyone who just said, "Who is Wil Wheaton?"), don't you worry your pretty little head. That blog is probably not for you.

More posts soon, I promise. I've had lots of earth-shattering thoughts lately about politics and religion and the state of the planet, which means I'll most likely be posting a butternut squash stew recipe any day now.

Holy smokes! Mr. Wheaton has a blog?

(I'm certain the only reason I know of him is Kelly. All I can say is, "Albertsons. Babysitting money. Teen Bop."

Whatever, geek. Now we all know the teenage RB had a megacrush on Mr. Wil Wheaton.

I'll stock up on butternut squash then! :D hehe

I'm not denying my geekiness. However, I think it was the teenage Kelly that had the ubercrush. I was more of a NKOTB kind of gal.

Oh! Oh! Oh! I almost forgot that back in the day it wasn't Albertsons. It was a Grocery Warehouse! With a detour at McDonalds for french fries.

I'm only made to absorb the sci-fi stuff by process of walking through my living room and finding my husband glazing in front of the Sci-Fi channel. But I've been on Wil W.'s site for quite a bit. The dude is prolific!

Now I'm off to bed. My jealousy over the idea of naps has happily made me tired!

I have no idea who Wil Wheaton is, but I anxiously await the stew recipe!

Oh Kelly we once more find ourselves on opposite sides of the fence. I just could never see the appeal of Star Trek. I've tried really but alas I just don;t get it. Can I still be a geek though?

Kelly? A geek? Gee, I never noticed.

Wil's story of the couple with the Starfleet officer dogs is a scream. Thanks for providing me a much-needed break from freelancing, Kel!
