What's in a name?

Over the last few days, both girls have been experimenting with calling me "Kelly." I was a little shocked when they figured out the fact that I go by names other than "Mommy," but they are a smart couple of girls.

Every now and then, one of the twins will pause what she's doing, look at me with a sly smile (as if to say she's discovered my dark, dirty secret), point at me boldly, and declare, "Kelly!" (Or, rather, something along the lines of "Keh-wee!")

Naturally, I refuse to acknowledge or respond to these declarations and pay the girls no mind until they switch back to calling me "Mommy." This phase will pass. It will. Won't it?

Pepper enjoys long walks on the beach, riding in the car with the wind in her ears, and Frosty Paws.

Turn-offs: Little white dogs (previous bad experience that haunts her to this day), baths, and the vacuum cleaner.

We're looking at high 50s and low 60s for our beach vacation next week. Great. Just great. We'll be wearing long pants and parkas to build our sandcastles. We'll look like that kid from A Christmas Story.

Those of you who have flown with young children: I need your help! Please please please leave your suggestions and advice for surviving a four-hour plane ride with two 2-year-olds. We leave Sunday morning!
