Unless it's tiramisu. Then she doesn't complain until the jig is up and you know she doesn't like it and then you'll hear all about the yuckiness of coffee.... Sigh.
With age comes wisdom, so perhaps I'll try another tiramisu on you this year, Kel. You might be smart enough to like it now.
Hey, Kerri, could you throw in some melon, and maybe a bit of coconut? It could be a watermelon tiramisu with coconut shavings! Ooo, and raw onions for garnish!
Don't worry. It won't contain coconut, melon, or coffee. I'm waffling about what I'm going to send. I had it all planned out and then I looked at your Amazon wish list. Now I am thinking I need to go more practical than cute.
RB, don't get me anything! If you do feel compelled to get me something, then get me whatever you want. I prefer gifts that are a complete surprise to gifts I've dictated. (That's why Airan and I didn't register when we got married, to the consternation of many.)
I sure could use those jammies. Anyone who visits the girls' photo site regularly gets to see the ratty tank tops I wear to bed. (So sweet of Airan to keep taking pics of me while I'm in my pjs.)

Don't you worry your pretty head none. I have just the thing in mind. In fact, I think I'll send it early.
Say, my gift isn't on your wish list. Will you be mad?
I never complain about gifts.

Oops. We'de better be checking out your wish list.
Maybe I'll send you virtual gifts.. That could be fun. My budget is a lot less constricted that way.
:)
That's a fine plan, RB. Then you'll have no excuse whatsoever not to give me lavish (virtual) gifts.
OK. Here it goes. The first round of gifts. From a store I wish I could visit someday.
Olive Wood Cheese Knives and Board Set
For the Overcooked Chicken
Awesome!! RB, you have excellent taste.
Next time you come to Chicago, I promise we'll go to Williams-Sonoma, rain or no rain.
Just wait until tomorrow!! Ohhh the anticipation!
By the way, shopping is so much fun when there's an unlimited amount of funds!!
After you've dined on exotic cheese and eaten perfectly cooked chicken ------
Time to Chill Out
Especially for Birthdays
Cherry Blossom Robe
PJ's
Slippers
Hooray! I love all of it!

It's like the 12 days of Christmas around here. Only it's the 11 days of Kelly's Birthday. For day 3 I present:
After you're in your cozy pajamas--
Chocolate
Champagne
Tunes
Something you can read that won't be affected adversely by champagne
Airan was asking me today what I want for my birthday. My reply: Check out the awesome items offered up by Rug's Bug! They'll do just fine.
I love this! I wish all of my birthdays had 12 days!
You thought I forgot about today, didn't ya?
Monogrammed Soap
Cool Platter
Pear Bookends
Le Eiffel
Pesto
Yet again, RB, all winners! How do you do it? I think my favorite from this round is the Eiffel Tower doorstop -- I love it!!
Airan: Seriously. Pay attention.
I get lots of catalogs. :) Plus it's all stuff I would want too!
Something to Eat
No Melon Here
Or here either
Mochi
For the Asparagus
For the Baguette
Cheese Every Month
A new cheese every month -- it's like a dream come true!!
Once again, I love all of it, especially the dark-chocolate-dipped fruits. Yum!!
We had mochi once at Sushi Wabi, our favorite sushi place. Strange, but good.
I'm horrible Muriel (sorry, bad habit of quoting movie lines. Blame the hubby)
I can't think of anything completely awesome today. Did I give you twelve gifts?
You're off the hook, RB. I think you've given me more than enough fabulous virtual gifts to drool over.
