Photo Diary: Life With Toddlers
Today, and every day, this is what my living room looks like. Oh, how I long for a home with a playroom.
General chaos.
They're two, they're four, they're six, they're eight, dumping tracks all over the place, on the floor and jamming into my instep, Thomas and his friends.
Specific chaos.
Notice how the Drop and Roar Dinosaur curls protectively around his treasures. Baby Tad (behind, left) is conspicuously excluded.
Stop by the castle, where King, Merlin, Knight, Squire, and Dragon enjoy crumpets and tea at the round table.
Twin sentries.

Do the penguins sing and dance and give you lectures on global warming?
It looks like a bunch o' fun to me. I would love those toys. Maybe you could set the track so the toys ride on Thomas all the way to the toybox.
I'm sorry, I just can't relate to this at all. My house is in immaculate condition at all times. Our toys aren't covered in dog hair either. Not at all. Clean and shiny at all times.
Oh that Thomas! Scary thing? The song started playing in my head the first second I saw those words.
I went a little insane yesterday (so, what's new?) because the toys were ALL OVER the house. If it was just confined to living room, maybe, just maybe I could play Chocolatier guilt-free.
Just wait until they're teenagers! I remember actually having to create a path from my bed to the door. Thank goodness I've grown out of that and now live clutter-free....
Look at it this way; every room is a play room.
With the exception of things that leave bruises on the bottoms of your feet, it can be a lot of fun.
You'll miss it when they grow up and move out.
And Mary Beth . . . yeah, right.
Listen to your mother! :D But, I so relate to it driving one a little crazy.
I love it...and I'm frightened by what's in store for me.
